About Dr. Martin

Dr. Dan Martin is the Executive and Medical Director of the Endometriosis Foundation of America, New York; an otherwise non-affiliated community member of the Virginia Commonwealth University Institutional Review Board, Richmond; Professor Emeritus of the School of Medicine, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis; and on the editorial board of five medical journals. Dr. Martin has studied endometriosis since 1970. He retired from clinical practice in 2016.

Dr. Martin was at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, 1972-1977 and with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, 1977-2016 in gynecology (Ob Gyn), reproductive surgery, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) with an emphasis on endometriosis and infertility surgery. He moved to Richmond to be with children and grandchildren after clinical retirement.
